Aged care reform lacks urgency

Aged care has been a prominent topic of late; with the recent Federal Budget aiming to solve the long list of issues associated with Australia’s aged care system.

The Federal Government’s 3.7 Billion Dollar aged care reform package is hoped to bring about fairer wages for aged care nurses, greater finances for the management of aged care and an overall improved quality of care for older Australians.

The concept behind this reform is all well and good, but how effective will the government’s plans prove to be as they attempt to solve this ever present issue.
