Victorian police raid bikie gang clubs across the state

Victorian Police are today acting on warrants at over 59 addresses of expected Hells Angels members or affiliates.

In a bid to crack down on gang violence in the state, a team of 700 Victorian, police alongside the Australian Federal Police and Customs, have already seized large amounts of ammunition, high powered weapons, drugs, and cash.

Acting Deputy Commissioner Steve Fontana, says there are several people already in custody after raids commenced at 6am AEDT today.

He says this is the first major operation of its kind to target a specific bikie gang in Victoria.

Mr Fontana says the operation has been aimed at the Hells Angels gang and its affiliates, because the gang had been seen as the “aggressor” during recent attacks.
