US police investigate shooting crime scene

Connecticut State Police in the US have confirmed they have begun analysing evidence from the crime scene of the tragic school shooting, in the small community of Newtown.

Lieutenant Paul Vance says they will leave no stone unturned in their investigation, but it will be a lengthy process.

He says they will also soon begin the daunting task of interviewing children who witnessed the tragedy.

Meanwhile,the first of the funerals for the 20 children killed in the shooting are being held in Newtown today, with two six-year-old boys being laid to rest.
