Ukraine issues arrest warrant for Yanucovych

Ukraine has issued an arrest warrant for ousted President Viktor Yanucovych, for the mass murder of protestors.

More than 80 people were killed in clashes between anti-government protestors and security forces last week, in the accumulation of three months of protests against the President.

The acting interior minister has released a statement overnight, confirming a criminal case has been launched over the mass murder of peaceful civlians.

It has confirmed Mr Yanucovych and a number of other officials have been put on a wanted list.

Meanwhile, Russia has condemned the Ukraine parliament for voting Mr Yanucovych out of office, saying it threatening Russian citizens.

Russian Prime Minister Dimiti Medvedev has also taken aim at the legitimacy of the interim government.
