Two people killed in Brazil bridge collapse

At least two people have been killed and another 19 injured, after a bridge collapsed in Brazil this morning.

The overpass is being constructed as part of new infrastructure for the FIFA World Cup, and television images have shown a passenger bus and other vehicles trapped under the debris.

The site of incident is just 3 kilometres from the Mineirao stadium in Bela Horizonte, being used for the World Cup semi-final next week.

The cause of the collapse remains unknown, and rescue crews are on the scene.

A woman who was on the bus at the time of the collapse, says she believes there may still be people trapped inside the bus.
