Royal Baby named as Prince George

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have officially named their first born child as George Alexander Louis. 

The name George is steeped in history as far as the monarchy is concerned, with six Georges having taken the throne, with the first in 1740.

The baby boy, born on Monday, will officially be known as his Royal Highness Prince George of Cainbridge.

Prince William and his wife Catherine have now introduced their son to an excited Great Grandmother Queen Elizabeth II,  prior to her summer holiday in Scotland.
