Queensland father charged with murdering 6 y.o. daughter

A Queensland man has been charged with one count of murder and one count of attempted murder of his two young daughters in Brisbane.

Police were called to a home in Brisbane’s north yesterday morning, where they found the body of a six-year-old girl in her bedroom.

Following a search for the girl’s father throughout the day, he was arrested and charged with his daughter’s murder.

He has also been charged with the attempted murder of his eight-year-old daughter, who shared a room with her younger sister.

The 52-year-old man will front Southport Magistrates Court today.
