Prime Minister Tony Abbott will visit Europe this week to join world leaders in Normandy, France for the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings.
Mr Abbott will also visit the Western Front where an interpretive memorial is in early preparations.

Following Europe, Mr Abbott will then visit New York, Houston, Hawaii, and the White House where his first one-on-one meeting with President Barack Obama will take place since he became Prime Minister.

Mr Abbott has released a pre-recorded online video message ahead of the trip where he says his message to overseas investors will be that Australia is open for business.
