Man killed and woman injured in Sydney home invasion

A man has been killed and a woman seriously injured, in a home invasion in Badgery’s Creek, in Sydney’s west early this morning.

A 69-year-old man was found dead at the scene when police arrived, and a women, also believed to be in her sixties, was rushed to Liverpool Hospital with multiple injuries, including a severe head wound.

The women called emergency services at 4am AEST, to report she and her husband had been attacked in their home.

A crime scene has been established at the house, while detectives from the Homicide Sqaud and forensic experts continue their investigations.

Police have refused to confirm reports the couple was attacked by three assailants with baseball bats.
