Man charged with murder of father and uncle

A 30 year old Bendigo man will face the Melbourne Magistrates court today, charged with the murder of his father and uncle in central Victoria last week.

The bodies of brothers Douglas and John Streeter, both in their sixties, were discovered by a family member in a farm house on Thursday, with multiple gun shot wounds to the head and chest.

Ross Streeter was arrested by police on Saturday, but has been in hospital with reported self-inflicted wounds.

He was charges in an out-of session court hearing last night, and will face court again today.
