Hunter to face court over Melbourne murder

47 year old Stephen James Hunter will face court in Melbourne today, after being charged with the murder of Sarah Cafferkey. 

The body of the 22 year old was found over the weekend, and police tracked down Hunter yesterday before charging him in the evening.

Police allege he stabbed Ms Cafferkey several times at his home in Baccus March, west of Melbourne on November 10, before moving her body to a rubbish bin at Point Cook home.

Hunter faced a brief out-of-session court hearing last night. and detectives say he has made a full admission to the murder.
