Hillary Clinton arrives in Perth

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has arrived in Perth for high level Ausmin talks with Prime Minister Julia Gillard and other Federal Labor ministers.

Ms Clinton was welcomed at the Perth Airport this morning by Western Australian Premier Colin Barnett, Foreign Minister Bob Carr and Defence Minister Stephen Smith.

Ms Gillard has also touched down in Perth this afternoon, ahead of tomorrow’s talks on defence, troop numbers, training and equipment.

They will also be joined by the US Defence Secretary Leon Panetta.
