Gillard reportedly loses support of Shorten

Prime Minister Julia Gillard has reportedly removed Bill Shorten from her inner circle within the Labor party, over fears she has lost his support.

Pressure is mounting on Mr Shorten to resolve Labor’s leadership impasse.

According to News Limited at least two senior Labor figures have noticed the shunning of the Workplace Relations Minister.

But other Senior Labor figures, including Trade Minister Craig Emerson, say the opportunity for a leadership spill has been there and nothing has happened.

There is one sitting week of parliament left, before the Federal election.
