Climate Commission report leaked to the ABC

A copy of a report by the Independent Climate Commission to the federal government has been obtained by the ABC.

The report, leaked this morning, recommends Australia triple its targeted carbon emissions cuts.

According to the report, carbon emissions should be cut by 15 per cent from 2000 levels, by 2020. 

This is an increase from the 5 per cent target the 2=two major parties had agreed on.

The report also recommends carbon emissions be cut by forty per cent by twenty thirty.
