Armstrong stripped of all Tour de France titles

Cyclist Lance Armstrong has been banned from the sport for life, and stripped of all 7 of his Tour De France titles by the International Cycling Union.

It comes as the US Anti Doping Agency stripped Armstrong of his 7 titles in August, following the testimonies from 11 other cyclists,who said he participated in blood doping throughout his career.

The UCI met overnight to determine the fate of Armstrong, after USADA released a 1000 page report to the union, on the American 12 days ago.

The International Cycling Union says the issue of doping is being addressed in the sport.

Meanwhile Australia’s Federal Sports Minister Kate Lundy says the sport of cycling needs to be cleaned up.

Senator Lundy has told the ABC, Australia, and the world need to address the issue of drug use in the cycling and in all sports.
