43 year old man killed in plane crash, while fighting fires

NSW Police have confirmed a 43-year-old man has died, after a plane involved in firefighting operations, crashed west of Ulladulla on the south coast this morning.

Police and Ambulance officers have not been able to recover the body, due to steep terrain, challenging weather conditions and a near by fire.

Local area Commander Superintendent Joe Cassar says police are working closely with the Air Transport Safety Bureau to try to determine what caused the crash.
