20 injured in US high school stabbing

 An American High School student has stabbed or slashed 19 other children and a security guard, during a 30 minute rampage in classrooms and hallways of a high school in Pennsylvania.

The incident occurred at the Franklin Regional High School in Murrysville, around 7:15am local time.

The suspect is a 16-year-old male student, whose identity has not been revealed.

Hhe was cornered by police about half an hour after he began the rampage, and has been taken in to custody.

Authorities say 19 students were injured in the attack, aged between 14 and 17 years, as well as an asult security guard.

Two of the students had to undergo emergency surgery, while a number of others are still being assessed.
