16-year-old faces court over double murder

A 16 year old boy has faced court in Queensland this morning, after being charged with two counts of homicide, over the deaths of a mother and daughter.

The woman and 12 year old girl were found stabbed to death in their home, west of Brisbane.

The boy will be dealt with under the Juvenile Justice Act, after allegedly calling police himself to report the crime.

He will now have to wait another 3 months to learn his fate.

The girl had been due to return to school in Toowoomba this week to begin year 7, and counsellors have been sent to the school.
