Be mindful on the roads – Bathurst police

BATHURST police have urged motorists to be mindful of pedestrians and cyclists after people suffered minor injuries when they were hit by cars in separate incidents yesterday.

in the first incident a female cyclist was hit just before eight thirty am on the Piper and Rankin street roundabout and later in the afternoon a student was struck by a vehicle outside Bathurst High School.

While they only suffered minor injuries police have taken the opportunity to warn motorists to stick to the speed limit obey parking laws and be mindful of large numbers of students around school hours.
