Orange School Teacher Charged

An Orange primary school teacher has been charged with possession of child pornography material on his home computer.

The 42-year-old man was removed from his classroom by police, after it was discovered he’d been downloading pornographic child abuse images onto his home computer late last month.

Police allege the accessing of the child pornography started early this year, with it continuing up until the teacher’s dismissal.

The bail conditions stipulate the man is to have no Internet connection at home and can only access it for specific employment purposes.

The case will be held at Orange Local Court next month.
