Orange man charged with drug possession

An Orange man has been arrested after police found a bag containing an illegal substance, as well as $3500 cash.

Dwayne Ah-See told police the money was won from the pokies, however after a more-thorough search they uncovered 15 grams of the substance, leading police to believe the money was more likely linked to drug supply.

The 24-year-old fled the scene after police searched his bag but was later caught and arrested.

Police prosecutor Sergeant, Andy Bobin said the accused has already breached bail five times in the past and is on conditional liberty, making him ineligible for bail this time.

Ah-See was charged with the possession and supply of a prohibited drug.
