Orange Health Service Leading the Way

Orange health service is hosting representatives from some of New South Wales finest hospitals this week, as medical professionals come and see how Orange is handling its patients.

Orange health service has been running a patient based model of care called the ‘Structured Interdisciplinary Bed Rounds Scheme,’ a new innovation which has lead to improved care for many of the hospitals patients.

The model was introduced at Orange health service after representatives from Orange visited America last year to see the model in action.

Visitors from Royal North Shore Westmead and St Vincent’s hospitals are all in Orange to see how the model works and to take the model back to their own hospitals for implimentation.

Representatives from Orange Health service say they are very proud of how their hospital handles patients and are glad other health services around the state are taking notice.
