Illegal immigrants found in Bathurst

Two illegal Chinese immigrants have been found in Bathurst and have been taken to Villawood detention centre in Sydney.

The women were found working in a brothel in Bathurst, after the police were tipped off by member of the public about the activities that were disguised as a beauty treatment studio.

The police conducted a raid on the business on Friday afternoon and found evidence of illegal activities, as well as the two women hiding from the authorities.

Both women were taken into custody by the police and officers from the Department of Immigration transported them down to Sydney shortly after.

One woman had escaped from the detention centre last April, while the other had long overstayed her visa.
