Fatal car crash at Sofala near Bathurst

Police will prepare a report for the coroner, following a fatal car crash at Sofala near Bathurst yesterday.

At around 8:15am, police were called to Upper Turon Road, following reports of a crash.

They found a white 4 wheel drive which had run off the road and rolled down an embankment.

The 48 year old male driver was located dead at the scene.

A crime scene was established with police from Chifley Local Area Command, who conducted investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

NSW Police Media Officer Dave Pearce says anyone with information should call the local Bathurst Police or Crime Stoppers.
