Daniel Morcombe's parents give evidence at murder trial

The parents of murdered schoolboy Daniel Morcombe have today given evidence at the trial of his accused killer.

The murder trial of 44 year old Brett Peter Cowan has continued in Brisbane today, after he pleaded not-guilty yesterday.

Daniel’s mother Denise Morcombe has described to the court how her and her husband went looking for their 13 year old son, after he disappeared on December 7 2003.

His father Bruce Morcombe confirmed they never heard from Daniel, after the day he went missing.

Earlier, Crown Prosecutor Michael Byrne QC told the court, Daniel was almost certainly killed in the first hour after he was kidnapped.

He also explained how Cowan has given a full admission to killing Danielm to undercover police officers.
