Saturday and Sunday will see the opening weekend of finals footy taking place, in Central West Rugby Union and Group 10 Rugby League.

In the qualifying semi final of Central West Rugby Union, Forbes will host the Dubbo ‘Roos, with the winner then to progress to the major semi final against minor Premiers Orange Emus, to find out who will be the first team to make it into the grand final.

The loser will play the winner of this weekends elimination semi final, where the fourth placed Bathurst Bulldogs will be favourites, as they host the Orange City Lions.

In the 2nd grade Bathurst plays Forbes and the ‘Roos take on Orange City, while in 3rd Grade Bathurst will go up against the Emus, and the ‘Roos will tackle Parkes, the Colts will see Orange City take on the ‘Roos, and Mudgee go up against the students from Charles Sturt University.

In the Group 10 Rugby League top grade, the Panthers are under the pump, playing sudden death football against defending premiers Mudgee.

In Orange minor premiers CYMS host Oberon, with the winner of that match making their way into the grand final.

In the lower grades – the first division games are between Panthers and Workies in the elimination match, while CYMS and St. Pats play the qualifier.

In the Under 18’s, the Panthers versus Mudgee, and CYMS are up against St. Pats, while in the League Tag, the Panthers and Blayney will go head at head, and the Orange Hawks take on St. Pats.
