Bail Adjustment for Local Man

Bail Adjustment for Local Man

A former Bathurst man made an appearance in the local court yesterday following the charge of aggravated sexual assault and indecent assault under his authority.

Richard John Mcphillamy, who now resides in Dubbo, sat before magistrate Michael Allen with his solicitor Leigh Heywood and requested conditions of his bail to be either deleted or reduced.

Mr. Mcphillamy currently has to report to the police three days a week, however Ms Haywood says this is unnecessary as the charges on her client related to historic matters which allegedly occured 15 years ago, and he has had no contact with the alleged victim.

The magistrate ordered Mr. Mcphillamy to report to police every Wednesday and has adjourned the matter to the Bathurst Local Court on July 29.
