Attempted sexual assault of a woman in Orange

Police from Canobolas Local Area Command are investigating the attempted sexual assault of a 20 year old woman in her home in Orange yesterday.

It’s believed the woman was home alone with her eight month old baby girl when a young man walked into her home about 3:30pm and attempted to sexually assault her, before punching her and pushing her through a window.

New South Wales Policing says the man then took cash, and was last seen riding a bike along Summer Street toward Coronation Parade.

The woman has been treated for bruising and shock at Orange Base Hospital, while the eight month old baby was unharmed.

The man is said to be between 16 and 18 years old, of caucasian appearance, and was wearing a blue/green hooded jacket at the time of the attack.
