18 y.o. in intensive care following a stabbing in Lithgow

Lithgow police are investigating the stabbing of a man during a brawl over the weekend.

Police were called to the intersection of Gasworks Lane and Chifley Road at around 11.40pm on Saturday, following reports of a large brawl.

An eighteen year old was found at the scene with head injuries and stab wounds to his chest.

He was taken to Lithgow Hospital before being transferred to Nepean Hospital, where he remains in intensive care in a serious, but stable condition.

Sergeant Dave Rose from NSW police media says officers are investigating the incident.
