Bathurst partygoers took to Instagram to promote the MTV Winter House Party that took place on top of Mount Panorama this Wednesday.

#MTVwinterhouseparty and #mooseheadmtv quickly became trending hashtags for the evening.

“There was a hashtag of #mooseheadmtv and it had it up on a big HD LCD TV and it pretty much had a slideshow of Instagram of people at the event,” said Andrew MacDougall who attended the event.

The event, which was headlined by Aussie Hip-Hop group Bliss N Eso, was promoted through MTV Australia’s Facebook page.

MTV Australia also held a competition to find a local supporting act for the night. Entrants were required to submit a youtube link of a performance and local acts from Bendigo, Bathurst, Parafield Gardens and Dubbo were selected to perform.

Skryptcha was the local Bathurst act selected to perform on the night, receiving an overwhelmingly positive review from the crowd.
