ARMPITS4AUGUST: YOUR OPINION ON GOING ALL NATURAL FOR A GOOD CAUSE

ARMPITS4AUGUST: YOUR OPINION ON GOING ALL NATURAL FOR A GOOD CAUSE

It is the female answer to Movember – but will Armpits4August be a big hit in Bathurst?

A month long charity event to raise awareness of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), Armpits4August asks women to unite and grow their armpit hair for four weeks in an effort to raise money for the cause.

Living West asked some Bathurst women (and some of their boyfriends!) whether they would consider going all natural in the name of charity.

Would you take part in/encourage the women in your life to take part in Armpits4August?

“I probably couldn’t do it, I’d crack it!”

That’s like my whole winter! Yeah I would do it.”

“I would more likely give money than not shave my arm pits…no it’s not something I would like to do. I would rather wear a fake moustache for movember or a charity or something.”

James Allen - 24- Bathurst

“Can’t say I see her armpits that often… it would be a bit weird but I guess it would only be for a month. If she wanted to do it that badly I wouldn’t stop her.”

Sam Murden- 19- Bathurst

Dylan Hansen- 20- Tamworth

“I wouldn’t care at all.”

Cass McMiles- 20- Bathurst

“I’d probably do it and then after three days go ‘nup’!”

So there you have it – a mixed response! Regardless, the team here at Living West hopes locals will jump on board and raise some money to support Armpits4August.
